[Experiment 14] Cascode Amplifier
2. Overview of the experiment
In this experiment, the operating principle of the cascode amplifier using MOSFET is studied, and characteristics are measured through experiments. Cascode amplifiers are widely used because they can obtain higher voltage gains than common source amplifiers. In this experiment, the input-output characteristic curve of the cascode amplifier is obtained, the concept of a small signal equivalent circuit is applied to obtain a voltage gain, and then this is confirmed in the experiment.
3. Equipment and how to use
Digital Multimeter
A digital multimeter is a multi-functional instrument that measures electrical physical quantities such as current, voltage, and resistance. It is important to note that when changing the measurement target during equipment loading, the measurement mode should be changed with the function selection switches and the insertion position of the
probe should also be changed. Digital multimeters have higher measurement accuracy due to their very high internal resistance compared to analog models.
